AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with attempting to procure a murder after allegedly plotting to kill two men, according to multiple reports.
The rocker appeared in a New Zealand court Thursday but did not enter a plea, according to stuff.co.nz.
His house was reportedly raided at 7 a.m., and he was released on bail later in the afternoon. One of his bail conditions is that he must not have any contact with anyone involved in the alleged plot, the Associated Press reports.
Rudd, 60, also also faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana and threatening to kill, BBC News reports.
AC/DC is set to release a new album, Rock or Bust, in December. In September, the band announced that guitarist Malcolm Young has dementia and will not be returning to the group.
