Carrie Underwood is going to be a mom! The American Idol alum announced the news herself on Monday, Sept. 1, with an adorable Instagram. Her rep also confirmed the news to Us Weekly
“In honor of ‘Labor’ Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier…” the country crooner captioned a photo of herself holding her two dogs, who wear “I’m going to be a big sister” and “big brother” outfits.
This will be the first child for the singer, 31, and her NHL husband Mike Fisher, 34.
The Nashville Predators pro also took to Twitter, jokingly tweeting: “We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher.”
A source tells Us Weekly, “They couldn’t be happier to be starting a family.”
The blonde admitted to Self magazine in the past she’d love to have “two” kids, adding, “Three is fine. Four? Somebody’s getting something done, because we ain’t having five!”
The couple tied the knot back in 2010.
