Lady Gaga calls Australian show

Lady Gaga has arrived in Australia and called up WSFM Sydney this morning to talk to Jonesy and Amanda.

Gaga is about to release her duets album 'Cheek To Cheek' album with veteran crooner Tony Bennett.

'I've been singing jazz since I was 13 years old. It was sort of my secret,' she told Jonesy and Amanda. 'No-one knew about it. Tony happened to hear me sing jazz at a private event for charity and that's how this whole thing happened'.

'Check To Cheek' with Tony Bennett evolves the music of Lady Gaga from Pop to Jazz. 'He said 'hey Lady, you're a jazz singer'. He calls me Lady. It's very funny. He said we should make an album together. So many people around me didn't know I could sing jazz but Tony knew,' she said.

Bennett doesn't have an issue with Gaga's costumes. In fact, he thinks she is rather conservative. 'Tony thinks people now are more conservative than they used to be,' she said. 'I don't thing the things I wear are too sexy sometimes. I always put art in the front and Tony is an artist. He always thinks things are so beautiful and he always tells people 'she is always dressed so nice'. He just really gets me'.
