Jennifer Aniston has “birthed a lot of things” & tried breast milk

Jennifer Aniston is making it clear that her personal value isn’t based on her ability to marry and have babies — but that doesn’t mean she isn’t into being all up in her friends’ births.

“I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my value as a woman because I haven’t birthed a child,” the actress, who is engaged to marry Justin Theroux, recently explained to Carson Daly.

The 45-year-old star added, “I’ve birthed a lot of things and feel like I’ve mothered many things, and I don’t think it’s fair to put that pressure on people.

The topic of giving birth also came up when Jennifer Aniston visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, and spoke about how she volunteered to cheer his wife Molly on in the delivery room when they welcomed daughter Jane on July 10.

Take a look:

Is anyone else surprised to hear Jennifer Aniston say “Haven’t we all gone to our girlfriends’ delivery rooms?” when questioned about her offer to help Molly with the birth?

A large number of my friend are now moms, as well as are my two sisters-in-law, and I don’t think I’ve ever once been invited to watch a birth. I’d kind of like to, actually, but the offer has never been made to me and I guess I’m too shy to ask.

Additionally, I know I wanted privacy while giving birth, and only had my husband and the hospital staff around when both my boys arrived. Friends and family dropped by to visit after it was all said and done, but I get not feeling comfortable putting on a show while in stirrups. To me, volunteering to be there or asking to be would make me worried I was pressuring the mom into saying I could even if she wasn’t really comfortable with it.

As for the tasting breast milk thing, I’m thinking this actress needs to spend a little more time on this here BabyCenter Blog. I’ve got a pretty good feeling the ratio of those who’ve tasted (their own breast milk at least) it is a lot higher here than she found in Kimmel’s audience.
